Saturday Frank and Helen were kind enough to pick us up and take us to one of their farmer's market. We also stopped at a bunch of Thrift stores that Helen knows and are run by charitable causes. We also stopped at the Naples Pier and walked out. Frank and Jim are planning on going Fishing on the Pier on Monday. Back to our adventure, we started out going to breakfast at Lulu B's. Good food and spent the morning with good company.
On Sunday we went to a ELCA church, Shepherd of the Glades. Good service but a goodly drive from here, Little Otto is resting on my foot. I love that little guy so.
Sunday night we had two big events. We went to have dinner up in Fort Myers at the University Grill and after dinner we went to the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. We saw Broadway Showstoppers! with Gary Mauer & Sarah Berry and the Gulf Coast Symphony. We had such a good time. Music from Kiss Me Kate, There's No Business Like Show Business, Funny Girl, My Fair Lady, The Pajama Game, Man of La Mancha, West Side Story and a tribute to Richard Rodgers. That was just the first act, the second act was Beauty and the Beast, Jekyll & Hyde, Wicked and Guys and Dolls and the Finally was a Showboat Medley. Where is Dot when I need her. She would have loved loved it.
More later. It's time for our two mile walk.
