I don't know what time it is where you are but it definitely is MILLERTIME here. Actually I am into Bud-lime one Corona with lime these days. Found a local lager here that is the oldest in the nation a Yuengling and it's wonderful. I will have to bring some home for Mac and Skye. I wish I didn't like beer so much but I am just not a iced tea drinker.
I am sitting on my patio and watching a huge turtle stick his head out of the water right in front of our spot on the lake.
You know there are just so many exciting thing that go on here I just love it. The part I don't like is - I really do miss the friends from Remer and of course the kids and Grandkid's.
Skye told me today their Dad is taking Mac and Laura and Skye to a Twins game. I am so glad they are having fun with their Dad.
Alexis is going to hop in the car with the kids after work and pop in to day care and pick up Hope and Hudson. She will have a better time doing that anyway.
She is coming down to go to Skye's dentist anyway and will get to have some fun.
Well a lot has happened since the last time I posted.
We did indeed go to the ocean on Saturday morning - we went early about 8:30-9:00 and on our way home we got a call from the Broadway Palms Theater asking us if we planned on using our tickets. Here it was 12:30 and we were supposed to be there by 11:45 to see Les Mis - what twits we were. We never even looked at our calendar that morning.
Well we took about 7 minutes or less to change and we were on our way, we arrived about 20 minutes after the first act and we know the play by heart and they were so wonderful that they even brought us each a plate of food, dessert and coffee.
But you should have seen us eat it. It was almost pitch dark and we had no idea what was on our plates. What a hoot.
We enjoyed it very much, best production of Les Mis ever. What fun. The turtle is back for air again. We only walked the circle once Saturday in the evening.
I took Sunday off, no walking. We went to Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church Sunday, wonderful Sherman, lots of Minnesota, the Pastor is from Albert Lea.
We went home, Jim went to the workout room and pool and I did 3 loads of laundry. It's a fair exchange, he does all the planning and calling, dishes and vacuuming and grilling. We work well together or as he would put it, "We make a pretty good team, don't we?"
I had a fun day, watched a bunch of Agatha Christie movies on Masterpiece Theater. Does it get any better than that?
I am watching 5 sailboats, you know the kind, remote controlled ones. That's what retired people do, they play with toys.
We, Otto and Makons walked the circle this morning, too fun and now I as a good retired person am going to take a nap.
LATER
yes... because I don't like beer at all
