Well, here we are on the last phase of our trip and I hear at home it is rain, rain, rain. I know that it is important for the ground to thaw the permafrost way down especially this year. More permafrost than ever. I somehow can't believe that the long winter is finally over. Rain is a good thing. If we didn't have the Synod Assemble to go to we would stay another week or so. As it is we head for home and it will be good to get back to our church again. I miss everyone.
What a fun day we had yesterday. I went over to visit our neighbor across the street. She invited me in to see some of her craft things. One thing she had done was put pennies on a bowling ball. She gave me some tips on what worked for her and what didn't. I brought her over some Sour Cream Banana Nut Bread. I sure like that recipe. If you are interested in the best Sour Cream Banana Nut Bread in the world, go to allrecipes.com and look it up.
After the visit Jim and I went to The Conservancy of Southwest Florida. We took an electric boat ride on the Gordon River and saw so many mangroves.
http://www.conservancy.org/ is the website and it is such a wonderful organization. We had a lovely time, had lunch there and then headed for home.
We had tickets for "Under the Streetlamp and Gentleman's Rule" what a wonderful show. Gentleman's Rule is a group of 8 fellows singing a Capella and they were absolutely terrific. Gentleman's Rule used to do the show "Jersey Boys" and let me tell you they were off the charts entertaining. What a fun evening. Poor dogs, they were in the camper a lot yesterday.
Well I need to get going getting ready for today. We have to be at Frank and Helen's at 11:30 and I still have to decide what to bring her as a hostess gift.
