Here it is Thursday already and I have to decide where to go to weight watchers today. Susan couldn't reach me on Tuesday morning so she made other plans for the W.W. Meeting in Walker. I was having fun with Sharon getting her on her way. She had been here since Friday and our time together was jam packed with fun events. On Saturday we were working at the Library and she got all the paperbacks from "P" into the "S's" in order. We have new shelving for the paperbacks. Four bookcases and two more will be arriving by Friday. We are excited. I know, it's a silly excitement, like over a new recipe for salmon marinade. I have one by the way we just love.
MARINATED SALMON
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
2 cloves minced garlic
1 pound skin on salmon fillet
Marinate overnight skin side up
Broil 6" from broiler 12 minutes
Allow salmon to rest 5 minutes
OK I never pretended it was good for you but it sure taste good. Anyway back to reporting, we feel we accomplished much at the Library, got home by 2:30 and had some homemade chicken vegetable soup ad left for D.O.S.S., it was at Nancy Green's. Fun fun fun.
Sunday of course we had church but I can't remember Sunday afternoon. Don't you just hate memory lapses.i know we had the wonderful lake trout fish Sharon brought up. she also brought up some Korean Sesame Sauce, a Kalbi Marinade made by Kowalski's in Minneapolis. I could drink it, it's good. I will buy a case next time I go to Mpls. Which will be for Mac's birthday, Fedruary 21st. Skye and I are taking Hope to the Pantages to see "Oliver". Back to dinner, Sharon always brings us something wonderful. It was.
I wish I could remember, oh yes, Sharon took Jim and I out to lunch at "The Pickled Loon" a new bar in Remer. It replaced "L.J.'s".
MONDAY of course we had Bone Builder's at 10am and we took a drive over to Longville. Almost everything was closed on Monday in Longville. What a hoot. I did get some flowers for Gail who is going through Chemo. We dropped them off on the way home. Sharon being a breast cancer survivor had a little something for Gail.
We had soup again for lunch, I made a stock pot full, yummy.
Sharon took off TUESDAY morning and we had to go to the Rapids. Our tires are not holding air the way they should. We stopped in at Verizon and looked at the new phones we are going to get. By hook or by crook Jim is going to get a waterproof one. We will go back on February 12, that is the date we sign our new contract. Jim has since talked to Verizon and we will update some things and get some discounts. He is a master at that.
We got some more flowers, the ones I got at Tabakas in Longville were already fading so I got 2 bunches at Cub, when I got home I brought a bunch to Martha and a bunch to Gail from the women at church. The WELCA women. On Wednesday Jim and I went out to see Marcia and Al. Now starting Monday he will be facing skin grafts.
