The hours are 10-2 and my neighbor came in from 12-2 to keep me company and it was fun to have June there.
I was very busy in the morning from 10-12 with 9 people checking books and movies in and out. Even had time to go to catalog some movies in.
I sat out for about 4 hours in front of my fire. Just so relaxing. Had fun feeding it. Still can't find my old garden hose. Fall is sure in the air, driving up 6 and over on 200 the leaves are already spectacular with their reds and golds. I can't wait to take Dot and Nancy up scenic 38. Sh day I think. Lyn comes on Monday.
We will have to do some bed hopping. Who cares, Jim will have fun. He is leaving for the cities on Wednesday and is making lots of plans to see people.

SHOPPING ON FRIDAY
It was so much fun shopping on Friday because I found the perfect 2 rugs to go in the kitchen, yellow with hints of blue to match my plates. Lovely. I also found 2 bathroom rugs that are a pretty cream instead of dark brown that picks up all kinds of lint. I can use the brown ones in the camper.
I found 2 cushions in a soft fern green for the 2 barstools. The wall underneath is a dark green so it is perfect.
I need to bring in another table for wine club. I need to do some rearranging in here to make everything fit. A new home for my evergreen. Will move it to the living room.
I also did some grocery shopping.
I stopped at Goodwill, was fun because I ran in to Darlene G., John was getting a haircut and she was killing time. Isn't that a terrible expression. Killing time. Time is so precious and we just want to sometimes waste it. Just think what it is like to make every minute count like our Lord did.
Anyway I was looking for Coats for Kids. I think a email to Terri at school is in order or stop by to see her. I guess I need to see the needs of the Northland kids in print.
I have $500 from the Lions committed and need to get er done.
Jim and I are working on watching what we eat. It sure is hard but I know it will pay off. I was eating frozen green grapes this morning. You should try it, the are fun to eat frozen, I bought them for D.O.S.S. For the white wine drinkers. Keeps your wine cold without watering it down.
Don't you love helpful hints.
Do you know I have had 2 fires in my fire pit. I have 3 fire pits, one is way out in the field for big groups and big stuff, then I have a cast iron chimminea in the fenced in area. I also have a large round one in front of the pole building and that is the one I have been using. Jim cleaned it all up for me and brought me a stack of wood. I use old candles for fire starters. Works great but for the life of me I can't find any old hose to put in my copper tubes to get the pretty color. I have to remember to have Jim look for me.
Went over to June and Linda's for coffee before we went shopping. Always a lot of fun.
At wall art I found some sheer fabric for $2.00 a yard. If I ever felt like my Mother, it was then.
I want to make some infinity scarves and I want to do so today. Now just to remember how or find the pattern online.
Well it is Sunday and that means church. I have been up since 3:30, why oh why don't I sleep longer but it was awful leg cramps that wome me up today. Help, someone must have a remedy for me. I told the Doctor about it but I don't recall that she had an answer.

THURSDAY WAS A BUSY BUSY DAY
Well what a day, neither Jim nor I could have coffee, having blood work done and Jim having a colonoscopy in Deer River so I ran him there by 7:45 and me to our clinic in Remer by 8:30. It's about 25 miles to Deer River. I had my blood work done before my 9am appointment. It was funny because I ran into Betty and Marcia & Al from church and Pat Y. and one of the gals from the Library morning coffee group. I love my small town where you see someone you know constantly. And I have nothing to hide, (anymore that is). Hummmmmmmmmm
While I got back to Deer River to have my mammogram done in Deer River Jim went out for breakfast, they have a really great breakfast place.
We got home by 12:30 and we needed to be at church to help Linda clean and since Darlene was there too we got done by 2:30. I had an early dinner at 3pm because I went to pick up Nancy G. so we could do the meat raffle, Gary showed up for moral support so that was fun. Gary won meat last night and so did our carpenter Kenny. I ran into my first obnoxious person at the Muni. He is VP of the chamber and has been here only 3 years. What a jerk, if this is his personality - good luck with him getting people by intimidation. We will see how that works for him.
I have the day (Friday) to myself today and have lots to do here to get ready for company next week. I know we need to go to G.R. shopping today. How I would like to look at barstools but Jim would have a fit so I will pass. I will get 2 new cushions for the old wooden stools I have.

WEDNESDAY ALL DAY
Had a nice long talk with Dede yesterday. We sure lead different lives. She lives in a huge city and I am in small town heaven.
I got at the sewing room yesterday but didn't finish nearly as much as I wanted - will hit it again today. It sure warmed up outside. I am still packing things up for rummage sale in the spring.
I have to get things done, a lot to accomplish this month. I was glad I got ahold of Teresa, she may be able to come to D.O.S.S.
Jim exchanged my outdoor fire places for me and brought some wood up, maybe I will have a fire tonight. Love fires. Sorted through a lot of cards so I can use them. Things were such a mess.
I love having Otto outside with me. He sticks by me pretty good. Always looking for me. Think I will see if Linda and June are around for coffee.
They weren't, at the beauty shop in Outing. Had bible study in pastor's office, we are almost done with Matthew. It is a good session, it's a good group, lots of good questions.
Nothing much going on, Jim went fishing with Makons up to Cutfoot.

WELL THINGS DON'T ALWAYS GO AS PLANNED
I went to town and ran out to Gail's and stopped at the meat market to get a gift card and then met Susan for our walk. Boy I wish I could keep up with Susan. Instead it's Susan, slow down. She says she doesn't mind walking slow so I am lucky.
I had so many plans on being so productive yesterday but I ended up just laying around.
Went to my Lion's meeting last night and so much went on. We had the presentation from Habitat for Humanity. If we all had the excitement this gal had we would have a different world, that's for sure. She was great.
I asked for and got $500 for coats for kids, now I have to shop and get going on the shopping. What I do is use the WELCA checkbook to keep things simple. Now to find good deals. I will have Jean get specific with our coordinator Terry at the school.
We also are going to chop, haul and stack wood for a family in Remer. Wait till Dot and Nancy get that email. "Will they ever come back."
I have one funny antidote: after dinner at the Woodsman, I polled Nancy S and told her I was still hungry. Funny to me anyway. Face it I am always hungry.
Today I tackle the sewing room. Jim had his pre-op physical for his colonoscopy on Thursday. My goodness he hates drinking that stuff. We have stories we could tell about that too but won't.
Been doing my devotions every morning and what a wonderful way to start the day. We are on Matthew for one of our Bible studies and will be starting another book soon.
I must say Pastor Dale does a wonderful job with all our questions, I really thing he would be a wonderful seminar teacher. He really should pursue that. It's a gift.
Otto just left his bed in front of the fire and crawled under an easy chair. Just gets too hot sometimes.
Jim went fishing to Walkanobo Lake down by Aiken and brought back a mess of sunfish since we ate so many for the church fish fry. I am saving the walleye for our D.O.S.S. Gathering and won't it be fun to have some members that haven't been here awhile back. I do have to call Teresa today. Georgene and Janet will both be here. My little house will be bursting at the seams. YAHOO. Love those women. Well it's 4:45, been up since 4 so I had best git her done.

JIM IS ANOTHER YEAR OLDER BUT HE WON'T CATCH UP
I never think of Jim older or that there isn't anything he can't do. He seems ageless to me. It is funny, when I am with Skye in her beauty shop chair she wants you to see all the wonderful things in the mirror, not the negative things like extra weight or wrinkles. She is a very wizened woman.
My back is killing me today, I just kind of pretend it's fine. I pulled a muscle last week and now I have to heal. Don't you just love aches and pains.
Our beautiful Laura has a birthday this Saturday. Too think she and Mac are now both 36. Soon all my kids will be in the 40 bracket in 4 years. Sometimes I wish I could live forever, just to see how it all turns out. To see the kids with their Grandkid's.
Anyhow today I tacklet the sewing room. Lots to do, I am going to make slippers that go over shoes for LEFSE.

SUNDAY NIGHT AFTER THE FISH FRY
Well it has been far to long since I have blogged.
I can't even fill in the blanks. Got back to every other Wednesday bible study. Crafter's on Thursday's at church, I work at the Library next Saturday and Lion's next Monday. I even got back in time to work meat raffle with Susan one Thursday night.
We had a good turn out for Larry and Judy's going away party at church, Jim furnished and did beer batter fish on the church steps and everyone brought potluck. It was a fun time, we ushered and I made a huge bowl of fruit and sour cream banana nut bread and coffee of course.
We had about 40 for dinner, it was a lot of work but everyone chips in and we have fun in the kitchen.
So many good desserts, salads, hot dishes and crock pots full of goodies.
Jim celebrated his birthday today and he worked so hard. We are home from our wonderful trip and grateful to be back with our church family.
We truly are blessed to be in Remer.
I had so much fun visiting the kids the first weekend I was back and enjoyed the state fair with Mac, Laura, Hope and Hudson and enjoyed my time with Skye. We even got to have the kids for a sleep over. Had fun the next weekend with Nancy and Lynn at the class reunion. We had a good turnout and I got to spend time with my brother Mark and girlfriend Jean and Pat and sister Heidi.
