Well we did it. We got here. We left Elko NV at 7:30am and got to our destination 2 miles South of Yellowstone at 6:1pm, a long day on the road.
We had a good laugh because we were supposed to be here a day ago but Jim booked us in two places at the same time.
We did have one really good truck stop. I found A Wizard of Oz coffee mug and there is a wicked witch of the west with red shoes and stripe socks and the saying on the mug is: "Don't make me drop a house on you?" I love it.
The start of a new collection. Poor Jim.
The name of our campground is Headquarters Lodge @ Flagg Ranch.
We also had a really nice dinner at the lodge campground. We split an Elk-Bison meat loaf dinner. Who knew?
Weary pretty lodge. It had rained during the day and rained most of the night. Oh well.
Snow is predicted for Saturday with a low of 37 degrees. YIPEE SKIPEE.
I like snow, it is supposed to be sunny 2 days after we leave.
We decided to drive here via a short and Lizzy, our guide with my iPhone agreed, that is the name we gave our google map guide. Well maybe it wasn't such a good idea. There was a 10% grade going up and going down over the mountain. There are holes on the floor of the passenger side of the pickup where I helped Jim brake going down. We should have taken the longer route. We both don't really like driving the camper through the mountains.
