A TRULY BEAUTIFUL DAY

It's like Indian Summer outside.  I don't know what happened to Friday or Sat. but here it is Sunday already and I wondered outside after church and took some pictures.

ME and my shiny new Fridge that was delv. on Sat.  Sat took most of the day cleaning out two fridge's and when the guys got here at noon we were ready for them.  We had them take the one out of the "Shop",  Pole bldg. and take with them, the refridgerator part of it quit and we put the one from the kitchen in the "Shop" and we should be in business again.

Jim is mowing the lawn as you can see.  Ali's camper is by our fire pit in front of our poplar woods.  When we moved here the trees were only 15-25 feet tall and now they are really tall.  We have a path through the woods from the back yard but I haven't been on it for two years.  I wonder what shape it is in and if that is the path the bear is using.  He has been leaving bear scat (they probably don't call it that) all over our mound behind the septic system at the beginning of our path.  Heck he threw up twice by the house, too much bird seed, we have removed the garbage can with the sunflower seeds in it to the shed.  he climbed over the fence every night for at least 4 nights, Makons has a bark that sounds more like a seals because she is so horse from barking at the bear.  I have left her out at least two nights because I can't get her to come in and I don't think the bear likes dogs, at least that is what I have heard.  It would be another thing if Makons attached the bear but I don't think she would, she just likes to bark at the bear, Otto likes to get excited but mostly from the deck.  Brave Otto!

This is a wonderful picture today of one of the DeBoer brothers in our upper field cutting hay, the
other brother is in the lower field with another tractor cutting.  A kiss of fall.

I bought this stone in the fall of 2010 after both Toto 4 that belonged to Skye and Toto 5 that belonged to Alexis died.  It's out in Mother's Meadow.  The tree behind it I planted right after we bought the land after Mom died and it is getting bigger and bigger though it was off to a rough start as you can see by the North side.  I planted a lot of other pines in memory of other people but none of those made it.  I have since replanted a bunch and they are coming along just fine.

Mom's tree in Mothers Meadow.

Our screened in porch and overhang where we have our fish frys and family reunion dinners.

Our plum tree.  I though I would try and make plum sauce for Jim's ice cream.  We will see.
