MONDAY SWEET MONDAY

I worked at the library Friday with Susan and Saturday with Jean, 4 hour shifts, I wanted to get it down because you work the shifts alone.  You can sign up for 2 or 4 hour shifts.  Heck I would just be getting warmed up after 2 hours.  Most of the books that get checked out are mysteries.  We have over 7 thousand books and another thousand we need to log in but we need more shelving made and finished.
I know I will enjoy working there and am committing to working 8 hours a month.  We are open 4 days a week for 4 hours a day.
Enjoyed church yesterday, the ushers didn't show so Raquel got things set up and Susan and I served and we had lots of help cleaning up after.  We had a discussion about the Harvest Fest as to weather we are going to have it or not.  So far it looks like we may not rent the fire hall.  We aren't going to have our wonderful turkey sandwiches for sure.
We are on our way to Brainerd to shop and see Duane and Teresa's place.  So excited and they won't meet us for lunch but she want's to make us lunch.  Oh we'll aren't we lucky.
We then are going on to Pine River to the Vet, kids need their shots.
Later.

FRIDAY ALL DAY

I am committed to working on my office/sewing room today and getting some things done on the computer.  I also want to work with Sue Selinsky to get trained in at the Library.  I always seem to find something to keep me bust.  Too bust sometimes.  I need to do some sewing.

I just put my left over egg bake in the oven.  Yummy!

I AM 2 cute 4 words

Went down to Skye's on Tuesday and had a Basel tumor removed on Wednesday at 9am.  It took them 3 tries to get it all.  I was in the Doctor's office for 4 hours.  Didn't mind much.  I couldn't believe the hole in my nose, the size of a dime.  They got it all.
Thursday I had the plastic surgery done in Brainerd.
That was two weeks ago yesterday.
I think it looks great, I can't believe the wonderful job he did.
I worked the meat raffle last night.  I trained in Renee, she was excited to do it.
It is so nice having someone young in our Lion's Club.
I couldn't believe it but I forgot to go to Crafter's Thursday morning.
What was I thinking, we have Ronnie and Frank visiting for two days and I guess it threw me off.
All I had to do was make a strawberry salad for them.
I am so surprised how they lucked out.  Fishing was great and it rained a lot I between but they actually had some great weather to fish in.
This week, on Monday I had a Lions dinner and meeting.  On Tuesday I went down to Minneapolis, met Susie and Dot at Skye's Salon and Dot and I had our hair done.  Skye does such a wonderful job.
We later met Deborah for dinner at The Pittsburgh Steak House, was so fun to see Dottie-Debbie-Susie again.  We miss Susie being in town but so far she gets back often enough so we can get together. I drove back Tuesday night and got home by 9:15.  Not bad.
Jim had a church council meeting when I was in Mpls.  They decided not to have our annual Turkey feed during Harvest Festival.  We will have to do something else.  Change happens, our congregation is aging so fast.
Wednesday I served breakfast with Millie since Teresa is gone it was so kind of Millie to do it with me. I made an egg bake and she brought juice and muffins.  Turned out Nancy and Lorretta got confused and brought fruit which was wonderful and coffee cake, we didn't even cut into the coffee cake because we had so many muffins.  We had a wonderful Bible study and meeting, the only thing that went wrong is I lost my notes when I was cleaning up in the kitchen, they must have thrown all my notes away.  I will run over to Lorretta's this morning to get the nots.  I recorded the meeting so we will see if that works.
Wednesday night we had a pot luck at church along with a prayer service at 7pm.

I AM GOING TO MPLS TODAY TO SEE THE KIDS

Tomorrow they cut out' the basel tumor on the end of my nose and on Thursday they do the plastic surgery on the end of my nose in Baxter.  Goofy thing having it on the end of my nose, I wore a bandaid on the end of my nose for 8 days when they did the biopsy.  Now they will probably take part of my cheek, I have a lot of cheek you know and they will put it on the end of my nose somehow.  I need a driver for that.  I will stay at Skyes for two nights and also see Mac, Laura and the kids.  I wanted to visit with Alexis today but she is sick as a dog with a bad cold and sinus infection.  Probably good I don't go there with the upcoming surgery.
I need to get going but will be back.
YES I AM HAPPY - THE RUMMAGE SALE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!

FINAL TOTAL RUMMAGE SALE $3385.00

Can you stand it.  I don't think we have ever made so much, the hot dog stand along with coffee cookies and water, even some rolls.  The great job the guys did at the garage, yesterday was Monday and Sharon and I stopped at the church and we finished getting the rest of the junk off to Goodwill and Salvation Army.  Bonnie and Joann both took a load in their trunks.  All we have left is some Christmas junk.  We kept all the good stuff and are just having gifts and a little minni bazaar in the fall.  There is some fall fest the second weekend in October.  This way we may not have to participate in the Fall School thing.  Can't even remember the name of it but if we do it will probably be  bake goods only.  Our bake sale in the narthex went really well thanks to Linda and Judy and especially Dot, she baked her little heart out for me.
I don't have very many pictures because I was so busy but I took a few.

IT'S OVER - "PTL"

Well another successful year, this year more so than ever before.  It looks like $3458.00 or so.  We have never hit that amount before.  We worked 8 full days from 8-4.  Ginny who is my rock, Linda my younger self and Darlene my wonderful friend.  I love these ladies with all my heart.  There were others of course, Betty, sweet Betty, Sally,  Joanne who never stopped talking.  She is a dear lady and so willing to help.  I don't know what I would do without my garage crew, wonderful Roger Olson who took over Duane's job.  He sold so much, Jim helped our like crazy of course, Skee and Paul.  It brings tears to my eyes when I think of my Bethany family and how much they care about each other and our church.  When Skee told me it was his last garage sale I could have cried.  7 years ago when we moved here and worked on the church and I worked with so many and got to know them so well.  I am so lucky to have my Bethany family.  It just has been very busy.  I have some pictures I will add soon.
