WISHING I WAS FISHING
Mac and Jim and Makons took off fishing this morning. Hope they catch something but they are probably bass fishing and that's catch and release I think.
I need to work on Otto brushing him, he is next to me on the couch. What a little treasure.
I can't tell you what a shock ir was to hear yet another class mate is gone. Reminds you how quickly things change. That you really have no control about your future even when you are taking care of someone you love. God's blessings on Sherwoods son.

MAC IS ON HIS WAY HERE - HOORAY FOR REMER
The girla (Alexis and Skye) were here on Mon. night and we had such a good time, they didn't have to leave until Tue. afternoon. We played "Rack-O". FUN but I didn't even win one game.
Now Mac is on his way here, he will get here tonight for some much needed fishing and to see me too. He should be here by 9pm. I know how much he will miss Laura,Hope and Hudson but it will be good to have him around. The whole family did visit me in the hospital on June 3rd. I was in the hospital 9 days, a long stay. Friday through Tuesday I was flat on my back because they punctured my spinal sac. Kept me from having nightmare headaches. I want you to know you should experience them, it feels like the top of your head is being blown off, I only had four of them.
I am on the mend. Have been home 13 days now and I sure can tell from week to week how much better I feel. Long way to go but I am so much better.
Jim has been so wonderful for the past 6 months, if it needs doing he does it. It can be dishes, mopping the floors, cooking washing clothes, or a million or one other things and he sets a pretty mean table and cooks a pretty good steak. He does everything and even baths Otto and Makons.
Heard some sad news today, lost another classmate, Sherwood Hawley died suddenly. Lived in Fl. with his deaf son. I am sure he feels lost without Sherwood.

Home Again - Home Again - Jiggity Jig
I am sitting in our Day Room viewing a deer walk across the back of our field. Beautiful sight. It's about5:30AM, been up since 4AM. Yesterday I was able to convince my Doctor I was ready to come home. It was my 9th day and I was amazed how much I improved in the last two days. It certainly was the largest surgery I have ever had. It went on for 7 hours and they fused L2-L3-L4-L5 together and made room for the nerves so I wouldn't be in pain. He nicked the spinal sac during surgery so I needed to lay flat 4 days because the sac needed to self-seal. Now all I need to do is heal and taking a nap is part of that.
