PJsPinesRemer

November 27th 2022

We took Ronnie & Mary Beth to see “The Nutcracker Ballet”, so so beautiful.

November 26, 2022.

What a glorious day here. Last night we went down to the Mesa art center. The beautiful IKEA theater. We saw a Group called “Under the Street Lamo”.  They sang lots of oldies, but goodies, but also beautiful, wonderful Christmas music. It was a delightful evening. And I wish I could figure out how to put photos on my blog, but I haven’t got there yet.

Well it’s Wednesday already. November 16th 2022

It’s been a busy week, Monday morning I had an 8 PM appointment with my orthopedic doctor. And I got a shot in my knee. They also said I needed a new knee but that is some thing I will have to think on. One of the possibility is to put that off would be getting gel in my knee in three months. If insurance pays for it that’s the route I am going to take for now.

I went over to my Friends house Dede, and we spent the morning together at about noon she didn’t feel well so I went next-door to the Saigon bowl and got my favorite wings and potstickers for Jim and I.

On Tuesday I went back to work volunteering at the Purple Heart Desert thrift store. I work 745 to 1245 because Jim took our car to the dealership for a recall. We now have a rental car and it’s a white Jeep grand Cherokee. I really like the car.

Bone builders today, I get to FaceTime the girls at Bethany.

It is Sunday morning November 13, 2022.

We went downtown last night to a concert at Phoenix symphony hall. Phoenix symphony hall is in the convention center. Is it an Enormous complex.we were competing with traffic because at the convention center there was an Elton John concert. Traffic was a joke. We got to our concert in the nick of time. The guest conductor last night was Rob Fisher. The name of the show was Best of Broadway.  There were two vocalist, the female vocalist was Michaela Bennett, and the male vocalist was Rob Levite’s. He was absolutely a wonderful tenor and her voice was so engaging, I don’t know how to describe her voice except there was such power in it. Excellent excellent show but we expect nothing less at Symphony Hall. The Phoenix symphony is just incredible.

It is Saturday, November 12, 2022.

I have been washing clothes this morning in fact I am on my fourth load. I think Saturday is a good day to do bedding and it takes at least two loads because of the king size sheets. It’s a nice day today and tonight at 7:30 we are going downtown to the Phoenix symphony hall for a show and I’ll let you know about that tomorrow. I wish I could figure out how to do pictures on my blog but that will come in time.

It is Friday, November 11, 2022.

It’s Veterans Day and we have both our son John who is a Navy veteran and Jim who is an army veteran. So proud of them and grateful.

It’s been a busy week just getting settled in and back into the routine. In fact tonight we had walleye to get back in the swing of things thinking of you all back home. Remer is home.!

We are back in the swing of attending church at Victory Lutheran. I have to remember to ask them when they plan on starting their Bible study because then we could ship it to Remer.

It is It is Saturday, November 5 2022 and the last day of our journey.

It is currently 24° out and we are crossing on I 40 from New Mexico and I would imagine we will be in Arizona in about two hours. Sun just came up been on the road for a good hour. I said

Here it is Friday November 4th 2022

We got to our hotel in Emporia Kansas about 5 PM. We stayed at a very lovely Comfort inn.  We ate at an Applebee’s and being in Kansas we had a wonderful rib dinner. We got up this morning about 5am, I think Jim would’ve slept in but I wouldn’t let him. We took off by 5:45 and it’s still dark until almost 8 and besides being dark is raining to beat the bed. He is glad I’m not driving.  Jim thinks we’re in a squall, I think we’re in a nightmare. Remember it was just Halloween.

We are in Pratt Kansas and a box of screws fell off the vehicle and we are probably fifth in line to get a tire fixed or replaced at Cooper tire. We have three in our tire.

Jimmy's not happy!

2 before us, we are the 9th person this happened to

OK, it’s 10 AM and we had three tires that had screws in them and it’s repaired and we’re on our way.

Our old little girl doesn't like her paws touched- I've quite a deep puncture wound from trying to help her up - I left her in a hole - little B.  That’s for blessing.

We are traveling through Mineola Kansas and it is home of the Cimarron Bend wind farm.
We are two hours from our destination of Albuquerque. We will be at Sun Life RV Resort and Mesa tomorrow by 2 o’clock in the afternoon or so.
We had a nice stay at the La Quinta West in Albuquerque, I love it when they could get me on the main floor. So much easier with the dogs. Oh my roof .
I am getting pretty good at researching prices for hotel stays with Priceline, Expedia, booking.com. It certainly does make a difference on the bottom line.

November 3rd 2922

We left Remer around noon on Wednesday. Packing up for the journey isn’t as much fun as it used to be. It’s a lot of work!

Our plans were to stay at Skye’s but she came down with Covid from being at school. So instead we got the opportunity to stay with Mac and family.

We went out for a lovely dinner at “Pig on my Porch”. In Lorretto.  It’s just fun being with the family but we missed Laura because she was on a business trip to Sacramento.

Dogs slept well in car last night.

Thursday afternoon:m

After picking Jim up from his appointment at Fairview Southdale Hospital we had good news that he is cancer free .

While he was at his appointment I was able to visit one of my special dear friends from my “Holiday”girl group when I worked at Holiday foods in the accounts payable department, Judy Thompson, I called her and she invited me over for coffee and I had a wonderful visit and a apple flip.

Jim was done earlier than anticipated so I left by 10 and picked him up and we shot off for southern parts unknown.

We made it through Iowa we are still in Iowa but we are going to cut the bias in Missouri and head for Emporia Kansas tonight so happy days.  We will have to celebrate.

Deer Killer

A week ago next Monday I hit and killed a deer
I also killed my car because the adjuster asked Jim if I hit a deer or a moose.  They had to total out my car.
On Tuesday we drove to Anoka and stayed with Skye & Jon, went to dinner at Clive's Roadhouse in Champlin.  Believe it or not they brought me the wrong dinner twice.
On Wednesday we headed for Chanassen Dinner Theater matinee and saw "Holiday Inn".
It was wonderful and we drove home that night.
Thursday was a tough day.
We met with Jim's cancer Doctor and since the BCG treatment isn't working anymore we are going to start a new treatment, Gensidomine.  His cancer has stayed at bay for over 2 years but it's back.
So 6 weeks of this then again in 3 months.
Such is life for him & I.  I really thought he had it licked this time.
We went to the Ford dealer and picked up a Ford Flex. I think I will like my new car.

Pre-Birthday Day

It's my pre-birthday all day - all week but that ends tomorrow on my actual birthday.🎂
I have really enjoyed the park.  Started a new book by Monica Ferris.
Was fun just sitting around and reading.
It's all about relaxing.
It's also funny how much stuff I just forgot to bring.
We are headed to find a walkin path somewhere.

Indian Shores Resort - Woodruff WI

Here we are in the beautiful state of Wisconsin.  I am happy to be anywhere as long as I am camping.
Our trip over here was in the gentle falling rain.
Here it is Wesnesday and we have to go to downtown to get service.
Campground is very nice.
I made my 10,000 steps yesterday and my goal is to make 10,000 every day on vacation.

MONDAY MORNING BACK HOME

Well here I am back home and I love it.
We a

ONE WEEKLATER ON A TUESDAY

Well here it is already a week later.
I hear Jim up.
I am at my favorite place in my favorite fireside chair.
Had the fireplace on for an hour - have candles blazing.
Better blow them out before I forget.
Shower is done and I only have a few minutes but when I get to my 8am appointment for Otto's teeth cleaning in Pine City,
55 min away I will have lots of time.
We gave Otto his 3rd flea bath.  Can you stand it, fleas!
They picked them up in Florida in the sand and grass or dirt somewhere.  Otto loved to look for the armadillos, maybe he got it from them, I don't know.
It indeed has been a busy week, last Tuesday Jim started his BCG cancer treatment.  5th one today.
4 to go then a 3 month break.

Ast week was hectic, we moved the rummage sale, little mix up on Pastor's schedule but was easy to change our dates.
Now it's the second weekend in June.
I am worried we won't have enough stud but I worry about that all the time.
"When you worry, you take away from God's plan for your life.  Shame on you!"
One of my favorite quotes from a lady at a Spring Gathering.
Getting back on Sunday and cleaning out the cupboards and fridge in the camper.  What fun.
Monday was a wash day and put away day.
Tuesday we not only went to Jim's BCG treatment, took all morning because she we screwed up on time.
I went grocery shopping and car shopping.
Jim we t to Ford in Grand Rapids and found me my car and drove it home.
I am

I started my "Mission Pawsable" on Wednesday with a flare, headed for Minneapolis and stopped and saw Gary & Susan on the way, was wonderful, headed over to pick up Dot in Rockford and headed out to Skye's Salon for a cut & pedicure.  I look marvelous I might add.  We then headed to meet Nancy Swenson & Lynn Olman at Pub 42 for dinner.  Had fun and we headed to Skye's.
I was sorry to miss Mac & kids but their Dad was over for a visit and it was his time.  Heard they had fun.
Dot and I left Skye's at 6am and headed out, 10 hours on the road and a lovely room at the Microtel and dinner out and tomorrow off to to Hot Springs AR to see Susi - ye haw.  Or is it
